Formed in 2020, EX CORDE consists of professional singers from across the UK, with diverse and successful careers, who are alumni from the University of York and the York-based chamber choir The Ebor Singers.  

 

We use vocal music to create, collaborate and connect, bringing composers, performers and audiences together.  We passionately believe in making choral music - both old and new - accessible, through innovative programming and imaginative performances. 

 

Our ongoing collaborations include working with composers – including first performances by Christopher Fox and David Lancaster - and ensembles, including the York Waits and the Rose Consort of Viols.

We have we performed on Radio 3's Choral Evensong and the Early Music Show, have performed in the Beverley and York Early Music Festivals, and our first recording was of music by David Lancaster (Resonus Classics).
